About the Role:

We are looking for a Customer Service Seafreight & Airfreight to join our dynamic team at Noatum Logistics. In this role, you will be responsible for acting as a key operational and customer-facing link within Air and Ocean Freight activities in the Netherlands, ensuring seamless execution of shipments, strong client relationships, and effective coordination across Pricing, Procurement, and Commercial teams, while actively contributing to margin optimization and identification of business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Freight Operations
    • Act as main point of contact for existing customers and agents, ensuring consistent service and relationship continuity.
    • Coordinate and execute air & ocean shipments (bookings, routing, pickups, deliveries) in line with customer requirements and internal procedures.
    • Manage shipping documentation (BL/AWB) and support customs-related processes.
    • Monitor and track shipments proactively, ensuring full visibility and timely communication to clients.
    • Handle incidents and exceptions efficiently, ensuring prompt resolution.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Operations, Pricing, Procurement) to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
    • Ensure correct application of agreed rates and conditions in daily operations.
    • Manage shipment financials, including cost control, invoicing, and proper closing of files.
    • Monitor shipment flows and identify operational improvements or risks within the existing customer base.
    • Support service quality and customer satisfaction through proactive communication and coordination.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of Air and Ocean Freight operations, including documentation and end-to-end shipment processes.
  • Understanding of customs procedures and international trade regulations is an advantage.
  • Good analytical skills, especially related to cost control, pricing validation, and margin analysis.
  • Experience working with carriers, agents, and international stakeholders.

Minimum requirements

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in freight forwarding, preferably in Customer Service or Operations roles covering Air and/or Ocean Freight.

Language skills:

  • English: Full professional proficiency (mandatory).
  • Dutch: Professional working proficiency preferred (strong plus).
  • Spanish or other languages are a plus in an international environment.
