
Procurement Manager
Description
We are currently looking for a Procurement Manager for our Ports business area with wide experience in logistics or shipping services.
This role will be key for manage critical procurement activities in the specified geography in accordance with ADPG process, policies and standards, ownership of vendor contract negotiations, award submission, purchase orders and supplier’s performance. Secure cost savings to meet financial objectives.
This job position will ideally be based in Valencia but applications from other locations and countries could be considered if the requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to, and promote adherence by other parties, to Group Procurement processes and Delegation of Authority.
- Collaborate with the Cluster Procurement team on large scale projects, and the implementation of procurement initiatives and purchasing programmes.
- Review contracts and agreements, draft amendments where required, and manage the negotiation process with bidders, contractor and suppliers.
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand purchasing requirement, assess risks and recommend a sourcing strategy for the same.
- Review and evaluate deviance/variation from standard ITT packages, resolution of bidders’ exceptions, evaluation criteria, commercial evaluations, and recommendations to management.
- Track supplier/vendor’s claims and disputes, escalating to Legal, Risk and relevant stakeholders and decision makers.
- Build and maintain strong relationship with key suppliers and vendors and prepare reports to the Cluster corporate procurement management representing current services and vendor/supplier performance.
- Maintain the Commercial Directory.
- Identify procurement cost saving opportunities, study market trends and examine supplier capabilities.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Monitor budget, track expenses and ensure adherence to financial objectives.
- Manage supplier/vendor key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight issues for decision making.
Minimum requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
- Business level Spanish
- Business level English
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in pre-award and post-award contract management.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations and industry standards.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Track record for solving complex problems, designing creative strategies, and delivering significant impact.
